A Message From Bruce Stern
Dear Republican 8th District Voter –
Thank you for taking the time to visit my web site and to obtain information regarding my campaign. As a moderate Republican in the largely Democratic 8th District, I am a strong candidate for the office and possess the important factor of electability in the general election. I believe my positions on the key issues facing this country mirror those held by a large percentage of voters in the District – Republican, Democrat and Independent – and that I can help the Republicans recapture this seat from a strong Democratic opponent.
As a fiscal conservative, tax relief and ending wasteful government spending are high on my domestic agenda. On the foreign policy side, we need to develop an exit strategy for our forces in Iraq and continue to take the global fight to terrorists. A safe and secure America must be priority one for Congress.
I look forward to your support and hope you will consider contributing to my campaign and volunteering in any capacity you can Please be sure to vote on Tuesday, February 12, 2008.
Bruce Stern

Late last year, work on a bridge for bicyclists and pedestrians spanning I-270 at Route 28 (Darnestown Road) in Montgomery County was completed. Although the bridge serves no Federal purpose and no national interest was achieved by its construction, approximately $3.7 million in Federal funds were...more
